So I know I've mentioned before about the problems with those ever exciting drunk hookups, however, I think there is a huge a huge cliche that follows close by any inebriated person. Everyone always says that a drunk person's confession speaks the truth of the heart (or some disgusting variation). The problem with this is that every naive female things that this is true and when the guy they like comes on to them they think they are good to go to start a relationship. NOOOOOOOO stop listening to this crap. Why would you want to be with a person who can only express his feelings when he is spilling over with alcohol. He is either an ass or a coward. If I had a penny for every guy who has confessed their feelings for me or just tried to make a move while at a bar or party, I still wouldn't be rich but I'd have a lot of freaking pennies.
If he's an ass:
The ironic thing about all this is that the male in question probably does actually like you and/or finds you attractive. However, if he hasn't made any moves before this he does not want to be with you for some reason. Don't feel bad though, if he doesn't want to actually have a relationship with you, it is for some really retarded reason like that you're not as "hot" as the girls he is used to going out with (even if he thinks your attractive) or his friends don't like you (even if they have never had a conversation with you). Like I said, dumb as hell. Don't take it too seriously though. Every girl is sick of the cliche that there are more fish or whatever, but truthfully there are. It's unfortunate, but every girl needs to get used to getting denied. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it because it is going to happen for the rest of your life.
If he's a coward:
This whole notion is actual pretty close to my heart (which will be explained later). If you are hanging out with friends and one of them suddenly shows an interest in you that he has never shown before, then you need to resist (assuming of course that you actually like them). First of all, if he's being an ass (see above), it will completely mess up the whole group friends situation you have going on and make for an awkward next meeting. If he does legitimately like you, you need to wait until he makes the first move when he isn't fueled by liquid courage. Honestly, if you are the one who makes the first move, it will bruise the male ego once it sinks in that you were the dominate partner in the situation. It's weird and I can't honestly say that I will ever understand it, but I've seen it happen many times. When this does happen, the guy will attribute the females eagerness as being clingy (males are masters at making everything your fault).
Ok here's some back story...
My boyfriend was actually that friend that always liked me but took forever to make a sober move (like 5 years). But when it finally happened, it was after both of us had been through some rocky relationships and it made us appreciate each other all the more. In conclusion, it definitely can work out, just don't rush into it and make them wait until they can make the move,
