Women are prone to making excuses for the men that they are into. One thing that women find themselves scrambling for excuses over is being stood up. Whether he is "really busy at work" or has to "rush off to take care of his sick grandmother", there is NO EXCUSE for standing you up without a phone call!
Think of it this way, if he has no problem not following through on your small expectations, such as a date, then he has no problem disappointing you on big things. The number one thing to remember in a relationship is to not be with someone who does not do what he says he is going to. If a man is not calling you it simply means you are not on his mind. He should be scared to stand you up in fear of losing you and your trust.

Rule #6
If any woman has ever had to be away from their significant other for an extended period time has possibly had the problem I like to call "ONE ENDED PHONE CALLS". I find that when we are "catching up" on the phone, I am the only one that is doing the talking. I have become almost an expert on "taking the hint" that a guy is uninterested, so my first thought when I hea
rd the sound of endless breathing from his part is that he is bored with me. It took advice from my own dad (yikes) to tell me that that probably isn't the case. Most males simply are terrible at talking on the phone. We just may not realize it because when we are with them, we rarely have extended conversations over the phone. The other thing that scared me was the unenthusiastic tone in his voice. The truth is maybe he is just missing you! It seems too simple (and maybe too good) to be true. But men have a hard time openly presenting their feelings such as women and they tell us through body language and tone. Basically, men are cowards (for lack of a better phrase) when it comes to opening up. Please DO NOT be discouraged. Chances are that if everything is wonderful when you two are together, there is simply some separation anxiety for your man.

Rule #5
Most women already know that calling too much is a serious deal breaker for new relationships. Unfortunately, some find texting as a way to check up on their significant other guilt-free.
If at all possible, please put down your phone and let it go. Texting too much can really "freak a guy a out" and make you seem way too overeager and a little obsessive. Many women make this mistake because they see a text as ending much quicker than a phone call and can be easily ignored. Even if a guy doesn't text you back, he is not technically ignoring it. Also please try not to text jokes or sarcasm because texting shows NO emotion. A guy can easily misinterpret what you are trying to say and get very irritated very quickly. Also, please please please please do not pick up that phone while you are drunk. You could say something that you didn't want to mention and he would never know you were inebriated.

Rule #4
This rule is solely about that dreaded first call. First calls are notorious for psychologically destroying a woman and making the most calm women "impatient". Honestly, LET HIM CALL FIRST.

Being rejected by not being called is one thing, but being ignored is much worse. Do yourself a huge favor and wait. Most women also have callback syndrome, which is where they call once and don't get an answer. Then they think "Well maybe he is in a bad service area", so they try again. Next thought is usually "Oops, I forgot to leave a message", so they call one more time. This makes you seem extremely desperate. In most cases, the guy is looking for a chase instead of being chased. As the old stand by goes, let him come to you.
